Brian R. Monteleone, Ph.D. is the president of Psychological Services of Charlotte and a licensed psychologist in North Carolina with 25 years of clinical experience.

Dr. Monteleone earned a doctoral degree from Ball State University and completed his residency at the Salem VA Medical Center. He has received a broad, diverse clinical training that includes specialties in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Addictions, and Sport Psychology.

During his 25 year career, Dr. Monteleone has worked in private practice, as a Sport Psychologist, Clinical Coordinator for an inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse hospitals, Clinical Director of a federally funded juvenile boot camp program, and counselor in a residential treatment center for dually-diagnosed adolescents.

Currently, Dr. Monteleone works with children, adolescents, and adults by utilizing therapy and psychological assessment. As a philosophy, he believes that “how you think affects how you feel and what you do each day.” Dr. Monteleone works with a variety of clinical diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, autism, Asperger’s Disorder, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, addictions, and family issues.

Dr. Monteleone has worked as a Sport Psychologist with high school, college, and professional athletes & teams for the last 18 years. He has been privileged to assist athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA Tour, NASCAR, as well as State and Collegiate Champions.
