Anne-Marie Cummings is Vice-President of Psychological Services of Charlotte. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Master of Social Work Degree in 2000.
She worked in a detoxification in-patient program and an outpatient substance abuse program, which prepared her well to treat people dealing with addiction and their families.
Anne-Marie’s main treatment orientation is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), a technique she has specialized in over the years and feels very passionate about utilizing. DBT is a program that focuses on teaching healthy coping skills. She has been running DBT group therapy for over 16 years as well as provided DBT trainings and supervised a DBT program.
She currently runs a Women’s and Men’s group. Anne-Marie treats a broad range of issues including mood disorders, trauma, and personality disorders. She is very familiar with acculturation issues and speaks English & French fluently. She enjoys working with adolescents 12 years and older, adults, couples, and families.
